South Park: S6.E16 My Future Self n’ Me

When Anti-Drug Scams Go Wrong

What a brilliant concept that completely subverts your expectations. I loved the idea of the future self turning out to be a total hoax orchestrated by panicked parents, and Cartman’s chaotic revenge business offers hilarious options.

It is sharp, deeply funny, and relentless from start to finish. I always appreciate when the show takes a simple premise like anti-drug PSAs and completely turns it on its head in the most cynical, absurd way possible. Cartman refusing to listen to his adult counterpart because he wants to eat whatever he wants is peak comedy. Watching the parents squirm after getting caught in their elaborate lies is deeply satisfying, making this a standout entry.

The real highlight, though, is the ending featuring Cartman’s actual future self, delivering a pitch-perfect punchline only South Park can pull off.

Overall, a solid 7.5/10 that keeps you laughing throughout.
