Diarrhoea from the Buffalo
Ep 7 flips the whole land-grab story and has the Native American casino buy South Park so they can bulldoze it for a highway to Denver. I liked the premise right away and the way they ran with it.
Gerald blows the house on blackjack, the adults actually win the big roulette spin and then immediately throw it all away because they “can’t quit on a hot streak,” and the kids have to force a human blockade while the town sings “Love Is a Battlefield.” Classic chaos.
The SARS blankets and the chicken-noodle-soup-DayQuil-Sprite cure are pure South Park absurdity, and that line about cash flowing “like diarrhea from the buffalo” still cracks me up.
It does everything solidly. It just never climbs above the show’s usual high level of absurdist humour.
6.5/10: Fun, sharp in spots, but not one that sticks with me the way some of the strongest episodes do.
