The IT Crowd: S2.E3 Moss and the German

The Old Married Couple Dynamic We Needed

IMDb rating: 8/10

There is literally nothing this show cannot make hilarious. OMG, actual cannibals? The sheer absurdity of casually stumbling into a cannibal’s house for a “German cookery class” is wild, yet it works flawlessly.

The dynamic between Moss and Roy acting like an old married couple – complete with their hilarious, petty debate over who is the “wife” – is pure comedic gold. The escalation from a mundane office complaint to a police interrogation over a pirated DVD, rather than the actual cannibalism, is peak writing.

Watching Jen battle a literal Soviet-style smoking shelter in the background just adds to the absolute chaos. For once, Matt Berry’s Douglas subplot actually felt like a slight distraction, but only because the A-plot was so relentlessly funny.

8.5/10: It is sharp, completely unhinged, and truly proves this brilliant series can turn absolutely any ridiculous premise into a laugh-out-loud masterpiece.
