South Park: S7.E15 It’s Christmas in Canada

No Mr. Hankey

I loved this full-scale Wizard of Oz parody. The boys crash-land in a rhyming, singing version of Canada, meet Scott the Dick, a Mountie on a sheep, a French-Canadian mime, and end up facing a giant floating Prime Minister head controlled by Saddam Hussein.

The Canadian stereotypes, the legal absurdity of the new adoption law, and that sudden Saddam reveal all work really well as a season finale. City Wok turning into City Airlines and the $62 plane ride that smells of kung pao is pure South Park gold.

The only real letdown for me is that it’s a Christmas episode with zero Mr. Hankey. Still, the adventure is big, the jokes land, and it closes the season on a fun, over-the-top note. 7.5/10.
