Cartman’s Disability Training
Another solid episode, though it can’t quite match that anime blast from the season opener.
Cartman finally does the thing everyone knew was coming… faking a disability to enter the Special Olympics for the thousand-dollar prize. His training montage is pure Cartman gold, and the payoff of him getting destroyed by the actual athletes is perfect.
Meanwhile Jimmy juicing on steroids and the way the episode treats both forms of cheating as the same thing lands really well.
They also take some very direct shots at Bonds, McGwire, and Giambi during the awards ceremony, which feels exactly right for the time.
7.5/10: Sharp, mean, and focused. Not the season’s high point, but a strong, well-aimed episode.
