The Capture: S2.E1 Invisible Men

A Patient Setup with a Gripping Payoff

IMDb rating: 7/10

I enjoyed the first season of The Capture, so I was looking forward to coming back to this world, though this opener took a little time to get going. The initial setup felt a bit slow, with several new characters and a political storyline that needed time to establish itself.

However, the episode gradually builds its intrigue, connecting the different threads and making the stakes increasingly compelling. The real strength is how it uses the show’s central idea of manipulated footage to create fresh possibilities, rather than simply repeating the first season.

The final ten minutes are where everything really clicks into place, with a twist that immediately raises the stakes and leaves me keen to see where the story goes next. It may take its time getting started, but the payoff is strong enough to make this a solid return.

7.5/10: A good opening episode that builds momentum as it goes.
