Great Songs, Fast Pacing, and Zero Dull Moments. Salman Needs More Comedy Roles.
Even on a rewatch 15 years later, I loved this movie just as much as the first time. It holds up remarkably well as a high-energy entertainer that never takes itself too seriously.
Salman Khan completely carries the film, catching him right at the peak of his post-Dabangg mass-appeal era. His signature relaxed swagger and sharp comedic timing are easily the biggest highlight for me… honestly, I really think he should do way more of this genre because his natural knack for comedy is unmatched.
The chemistry between Salman and Asin is genuinely charming, and the songs remain absolute chartbusters. Anees Bazmee keeps the direction fast-paced so the over-the-top comedy never slows down.
What really impressed me is how well-developed the whole ensemble is; even though the characters are complete caricatures by definition of this style, the screen never feels overloaded or overbearing.
7.5/10: It is just pure, joyful Bollywood cinema that I can keep coming back to.
