The IT Crowd: S3.E1 From Hell

When the Builder Cam Steals the Show

IMDb rating: 7/10

It’s a highly entertaining episode, even if it doesn’t quite reach the dizzying heights of the top-tier installments from the first two seasons.

All three storylines deliver reliable laughs, from the absurd bullying roleplay in the basement to Roy’s petty obsession with that tossed £20 note.

But the absolute highlight is how the builder plot seamlessly converges with the Douglas boardroom climax. Watching Jen’s desperate, amateur surveillance attempt accidentally broadcast Gary’s bathroom habits directly onto the shareholder meeting screen is peak comedic timing. It ties the chaos together perfectly.

The writing remains sharp, the character dynamics are as dysfunctional as ever, and the escalation of these separate threads crashing into one another is exactly the kind of clever, tightly constructed humour I crave.

7.5/10: It might not be an all-time classic, but it is a brilliantly executed, laugh-out-loud installment.
