From Lice to Life Sentences with Punk Rock Hank
IMDb rating: 8/10
Ep 19 "Be True to Your Fool" delivers a surprisingly strong, heartfelt story about the Hank and Bill friendship, anchored by a totally unexpected and hilarious flashback. Seeing a young, punk-rock-era Hank get saved by Bill completely recontextualizes their dynamic in the best way possible.
I absolutely loved the B-stories, too. Bill's bizarre popularity in prison, where hardened inmates are weirdly impressed by his mortgage and steady job, is comedy gold. Dale's disastrous attempt to nuke his own head with industrial pest chemicals is the perfect, chaotic cherry on top.
7.5/10: It's a great episode that balances genuine character growth with the show's signature absurdity, proving that even at their most frustrated, the alley guys will always have each other's backs.
