Underpants, Overpromised.
Ep 17 “Gnomes” had promise – the coffee rush, the Harbucks jab, Tweek’s frantic energy – but it didn’t quite hit the highs I expect from South Park.
The satire feels a little scattered, and the payoff doesn’t land as hard as it could. Still, there’s fun in the chaos: the boys’ caffeine crash, the gnomes’ weird business logic, and that classic Kenny dismissal.
It’s enjoyable, just not essential. The heart’s there, the jokes land often enough, but the episode feels like it’s reaching for something bigger and settling for “fine.”
Solid, not spectacular. 6/10 for me.
