GGWK and Aniston save this lukewarm opener
Rainforest Shmainforest kicks off Season 3 with ambition… Jennifer Aniston as the earnest choir leader is a fun casting choice, and her eventual meltdown delivers.
But honestly? I expected more punch from a season premiere. The satire on eco-tourism and performative activism feels scattered, and some jokes didn’t land for me personally. Cartman’s Costa Rica rants have moments, but the jungle chaos drags in spots. Kenny’s rare survival is a nice twist, and the final musical number wraps things with the usual South Park smirk.
It’s enjoyable, sure… just not the explosive return I was hoping for. Aniston shines, the animation’s tight, and the heart’s there… but the humor felt hit-or-miss this time.
6.5/10: Solid setup, not a standout.
