South Park: S5.E6 Cartmanland

How Cartman’s Greed Accidentally Created the Ultimate Business Strategy

I have always loved how this show can pivot from utter stupidity to profound theological questions in the blink of an eye, and “Cartmanland” is the perfect example. 8/10.

What really resonated with me was how perfectly they balanced their trademark absurdist humor with genuine emotion. Seeing poor Kyle go through a literal crisis of faith – complete with a life-threatening, stress-induced hemorrhoid just because Cartman got rich – felt surprisingly real and tragic. On the flip side, the spoof on real-life marketing and reverse psychology was absolutely brilliant. Watching Cartman’s desperate attempts to keep people out of his park accidentally turn him into a business genius was hilarious.

Of course, nothing warmed my heart more than the ending; seeing Cartman lose absolutely everything and get maced by his own security guard was the ultimate, beautiful dose of karmic justice that we all needed.
