South Park: S8.E6 The Jeffersons

No Point Putting a Poor Black Man in Jail

This one is quite funny. The whole Michael Jackson parody works really well – the high voice, the fake moustache, the amusement-park backyard, and the complete inability to act like an adult. The police subplot about automatically framing any rich Black man is just as sharp and still feels relevant.

Cartman’s defence of Mr. Jefferson at the end actually caught me off guard; it was a weirdly sincere moment in the middle of all the chaos. The face-falling-apart gag felt a bit predictable for South Park, but everything else lands.

7.5/10: Solid mix of celebrity satire and darker institutional jokes.
