Love, Jealousy and Scientific Awkwardness
IMDb rating: 8/10
Taking the whole gang out of their usual apartment setting was a great move. With all the main characters together at the conference, the episode gets to explore the many tangled relationships within this group.
Amy and Penny's friendship, Leonard and Penny's unresolved feelings, Howard's jealousy, and Sheldon's complete lack of awareness of normal social behaviour all feed into the chaos.
What I particularly liked was that the episode didn't feel the need to tidy everything up or give anyone a neat resolution. These relationships are complicated, often awkward, and sometimes downright ridiculous, but that is exactly what makes them fun to watch. Having everyone in the same place allows the different personalities and tensions to bounce off one another naturally.
8/10: A brilliant ensemble episode that reminds us how much the show gains from bringing its entire cast together.
