The Capture: S2.E5 Imposter Syndrome

Thrilling, Unsettling, and Uncomfortably Believable

IMDb rating: 8/10

This was a big episode, packed with revelations, and I found it both thrilling and unsettling.

The idea of using personal data and targeted manipulation to shape public opinion felt very much like Cambridge Analytica, which made the conspiracy all the more believable and disturbing. The episode also does a great job of setting things up for what looks like a strong finale, with several major questions still hanging in the air.

I did find Isaac's character a little unrealistic at times, particularly in how he responds to everything that's happening around him. The killing near the elevator also felt slightly odd to me. Perhaps the finale will provide explanations that make these moments work better in hindsight. For now, I'm willing to give the show the benefit of the doubt.

8/10: There is a lot going on, but the revelations have raised the stakes considerably, and I'm genuinely excited to see how they bring everything together.
