This spooky spin-off definitely shakes things up with the new scream penalty, but a smaller lineup means we miss out on a wider clash of comedy styles. Frankly, this opener struggled to deliver big laughs. It felt more like a slow setup than a proper comedy onslaught.
The contestants spent most of their time feeling each other out rather than going for gold. Daisy May Cooper brought plenty of energy, but the rest of the room stayed mostly on defense. That made the whole pacing lag a bit in the middle.
Even so, the tweaked format keeps the tension high and holds plenty of promise for what is to come.
6/10 for me because the chaotic potential is definitely there. The runtime feels slightly stretched, but I still cannot wait to see everyone crack under the pressure.
