Ep 3 is easily the high-water mark of the special so far, firing on every cylinder as the comedic gloves come completely off.
Reece Shearsmith’s Hull-accented Joker routine and his brilliant slow-motion tumble down the stairs provided absolute peak physical comedy, pushing the entire room to agonizing limits. Daisy May Cooper dressing up as a frog with her sprog was equally unhinged, bringing a fantastic wave of ridiculous energy.
Having fewer contestants left in the room actually works in the show’s favour now, forcing everyone into direct combat rather than hiding out on defense.
It delivered wall-to-wall big laughs and set up high expectations for what should be a thrilling finale. A solid 8/10 because this is easily the most fun the concept has been all season.
