A very good finale, and now I want Season 2.
After the Ashes does what a finale should. The big resolution comes right at the start, as expected, and it delivers. No stalling, no teasing. It gives the season’s main story a proper ending, and it feels earned after everything the characters have been through.
Then it slows down, in a good way. The middle gives us a few emotional moments that bring real closure. They’re quiet, they’re sincere, and the cast handles them with care. After so much tension, it’s a welcome break, and it gives the group a chance to breathe.
The last five minutes are what stay with me. They set up Season 2 and open a door I’m eager to walk through. I won’t say anything more, but I wanted more the moment it ended.
It isn’t flawless, and a few side characters could have used more time. But as a finale, it’s strong, satisfying and well judged.
7.5/10. Strong ending, bigger hopes for Season 2.
