I actually liked Jhaad Phoonk more than I expected, but let's be real… it is not a masterpiece. It is just a watchable, low-budget horror flick.
The production quality and VFX heavily remind me of those old 90s Zee Horror Show episodes, but the plot and direction manage to be a step above that nostalgia.
Yashpal Sharma and Padmini Kolhapure are genuinely good, bringing a creepy, layered vibe to their roles. However, Sumbul Touqeer Khan is the one who truly carries the film as Aastha, anchoring the emotional weight.
My main issue is the second half. It gets repetitive, and the central mystery becomes entirely predictable way too early. The movie desperately needed tighter editing to trim the fat and keep the suspense alive.
Overall, it is a solid 6/10. It delivers enough chills to keep you entertained, even if it falls short of being truly great.
